The Mother/Son DIY Publishing Team: Your dreams can come true

C.B. Hoffmann and Dan Hoffmann have created and self-published 6 eBooks, 3 Audiobooks and a short film about a fashion designer who is blackmailed into being an assassin & join Enterprise Radio to talk about it.

They’re doing it all on their own, from writing and editing the books, designing book covers, producing the eBooks, to recording and producing audiobooks, shooting and editing video, and marketing and promotion.

This episode of Enterprise Radio is working in conjunction with the Author Channel.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guests C.B. Hoffman & Dan Hoffman discuss the following:

  1.  So how did it all begin?
  2. So you just jumped into self-publishing without knowing what you were doing?
  3. What do you consider to be the most fulfilling part of DIY publishing?
  4. What are the top tips to self-publishing?
  5. What is the main thing you want our listeners to know about being a do-it-yourself publisher?

C.B. Hoffmann is a native Floridian, with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Florida, and an M.Ed. in English Language Arts from the University of Central Florida. After retiring from 29 years of teaching English and Psychology in Orlando public high schools, she has a new career as an author, audiobook recorder, and public speaker. She resides in Oviedo with her husband, John. They have two sons: Dan, a graphic designer, photographer, and international travel blogger and Mark, a computer science graduate and IT. Their faith is a driving force behind the major themes in her books. God inspired their dream and they would love to share it with you!

Dan Hoffmann is a partner and motivator in the mother/son do-it-yourself-publishing company, CB Hoffmann LLC. Since 2000, Dan has worked as a graphic designer, web designer and developer, photographer, videographer, director, video editor, public speaker, on-air personality and motivator, in addition to being the content editor and advisor for CB’s books.

His nineteen years of experience and degrees in graphic design from Parsons the New School for Design in New York City, B.A. in marketing from the University of Central Florida and certificates in web design and development from Noble Desktop in New York City provide the foundation for his creative, strategic project approach. Dan has a drive to explore any creative medium with unbridled optimism and translates innovative concepts, strategies, and processes into superb deliverables.

After 12 years in NYC, Dan, a native Floridian, and his wife Emille, a Brazilian-American, spent twelve months during 2018—2019 traveling in South America, Hawaii and Southeast Asia creating content for their travel blog. He also invented an officially licensed collegiate product, for which he has a design patent and three trademarks—sparking another family business and learning opportunity.
