Personal Financial Planning as a Small Business Owner

Chad Chubb, Certified Financial Planner™, is the Founder of WealthKeel LLC, a Philadelphia based financial planning firm serving high income Generation X and Generation Y clients around the country joins Enterprise Radio.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Chad Chubb discuss the following:

  1. What are three financial planning topics that are overlooked with small business owners?
  2. What is the biggest pitfall you see from most small business owners?
  3. How important is it to distinguish between personal and business goals?
  4. What are the differences in savings, for kids, house, retirement etc., when you become a small business owner versus working for a bigger company?
  5. What do you mean when you say build a good team?

Tip: I am a small business owner, my parents and grandparents were small business owners, so I get “it.” I am also guilty of putting the “personal” plan on the back burner while I work to grow the business. I think that says a lot since I literally build financial plans all day every day. But take it from me, don’t neglect your personal financial plan for both you and your family’s sake, make sure you set aside time to make it a priority. I have seen what happens to those who are building a business, forget about the personal side, and then the unthinkable happens.
