Inventor and entrepreneur, Cynthia Wark leaves flying the friendly skies for a new venture on ground level. As a flight attendant veteran, now airbourne only twice a year, Cynthia relishes in a good round of golf, mostly for pleasure but often. In the spring of 2009, waiting to tee off, the weather was already extremely warm. If it’s like this now, summer is going to be brutal Wark thought. Cynthia visualized a fan blowing on her as she rested her swing. Inspired by Oprah’s numerous segments on woman inventors and reinventing their careers after 50; Cynthia Wark, with the help and support of her husband, set out to create the ultimate golf fan that would keep players cool during the hot months. After three years of waiting for the patent to go through, Personal Golf Fan launched in 2012 and went on to win The Inventors Spotlight Pinnacle Award at the PGA Show in January 2013.

The Personal Golf Fan was one of only a couple others when Cynthia got the idea. The other fans were not portable or pre-installed. To be “country club” appealing or golf course etiquette the fan was designed to be easy on the eye, not bounce out of cart as well as keep you cool. The Personal Golf Fan has become the “it” golf cart accessory on the course these days, often selling out since it’s June 19th launch on-line, where it’s currently sold.

Patented, this portable fan has high quality components. The motor is brushless, ball bearing and good for about 10,000 hours. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is lasts for about 2,000 charges. The fan blade has winglets (like an airplane) which helps increase airflow. It runs continuous on the low/normal speed for 6 1/2 hours and high 3 hours and 45 minutes and charges in less than three hours.  Personal Golf Fan comes with a wall charger; a water resistant carry bag and quick cover raincoat, two-cup adapters, two polymer rings and easily fits five different golf cart models.

With the success of Personal Golf Fan you can be assured Cynthia has already put her creativity and resources in motion for future products.
