Debbie Lillard, a Professional Organizer, speaker, author, and and owner of Space to Spare joins Enterprise Radio again. She helps busy parents reduce clutter and create order in their lives.
Listen to interview with host Eric Dye & guest Debbie Lillard discuss the following:
- Why did you decide to start this business?
- What’s your most effective form of marketing?
- How has your business changed over the last 10 years?
- Do you find it hard to run a business out of your home & balance your family’s schedule?
- How do juggle all the tasks of business owner (accountant, customer service, operations, marketing…)?
Tip: Many of us start our own business because of the flexibility and autonomy it provides. However that can also be our downfall! Many small businesses don’t have a steady cash flow so it’s easy to overspend in good times. Keep close watch over your finances! Set percentages for how you will spend your business dollars, for example: 30% back into the business, 30% to savings, 25% for taxes and 15% to pay yourself. Check this balance monthly and adjust as necessary.
