Zachary Rook, Managing Director at Your Local Movers, that provides a full service moving company for offices and homes and differentiates itself by hiring their own staff and keeping up the company’s culture joins Enterprise Radio.

This episode of Enterprise Radio is in association with eAustralia, our Australian entrepreneurs & business owners.

Listen to interview with host Eric Dye & guest Zachary Rook discuss the following:

  • Why did you begin Your Local Movers?
  • Can you describe the culture at Your Local Movers?
  • How did you grow the culture at the company?
  • How important is culture for the business’s growth?
  • For other business owners, what tips would you give them about building a business’s culture?

Zachary Rook started his moving and storage business, Your Local Movers, in 2007 when he was 19 years old travelling around New Zealand.

Your Local Movers has experienced an average of 35% growth year on year since first starting in 2007, with a record of 100% growth three years in a row. Your Local Movers has expanded B2B operations throughout Australia. Zachary is now on a number of boards for well-known organisations, one of the organisations being, Be a Hero, which is an international not for profit organisation.

Prior to starting his moving company, Zachary was working in a high valet customer service restaurant and running music events, where everything had to be done to a top quality standard. Although he didn’t have much experience as a removalist, he used his experience of delivering high-quality service, which is so important particularly in an industry where you are trusted with others possessions.
