- What is your background in the mental health field?
- What are some of the common issues that you see in your practice and what might be the signs or symptoms that someone might have if they were struggling with these issues?
- How do you help your clients make the needed changes in their lives?
- How would someone know when it was time to seek help?
- What would you tell someone who has thought about getting help but hesitates due to the fear of the unknown process?
- What type of community outreach work do you do?
Tip: Tip-In order to live life well we must be willing to face the areas in our life that are uncomfortable which we have tried to avoid or run away from for so long. The thing that we avoid is the thing that has power and control over us. You can not run from yourself forever. Stopping to face these issues helps us deal with them and then allows us to create the life we’ve always said we wanted. So if you are struggling emotionally…do the work that is needed to regain the power and control in your life. Seek the help you need. I would love to help you…live life well.

Shana D. Lewis, LPC, NCC is the owner and clinical director of Living Well Professional Counseling Services, PLLC, a private practice mental health agency. She has been in private practice for 4 years. She has over 12 years of experience working in the mental health field serving adult, child, and adolescent clients in schools, day programs, inpatient hospitals, outpatient community mental health facilities and church organizations.
Shana specializes in addressing women’s issues including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship problems, trauma recovery and stress. Shana works very hard with these women to reduce depression, anxiety and stress by teaching them to change how they think to change how they feel. This is the essence of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which is highly effective in treating anxiety and depression by challenging the distorted and self-defeating beliefs that so many women in America have about themselves.
In addition to this, Shana is also a LPC-supervisor and works to help LPC interns complete requirements for licensure. She is currently accepting new interns for supervision.
