Phillipe Christodoulou and Jean Calleja are co-owners of The Eco Laundry Company, an eco-conscious laundry and dry cleaning franchise headquartered in New York City with a franchise location in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Christodoulou launched the business in Argentina in 2010, becoming the first environmentally friendly laundry service in that country. He soon partnered with Calleja to open a second location in New York City, now the headquarters of the company’s franchise expansion efforts.

Prior to realizing his entrepreneurial dreams and launching The Eco Laundry Company, Christodoulou spent a decade as a senior consultant and recruiting in the tech industry.

Calleja spent a decade as the global head of communications with Cowen and Company before embarking on an eco-preneurial journey alongside Christodoulou.

Both continue to give back to their communities through various environmental pursuits and organizations. The Eco Laundry Company founded a hands-on environmental initiative in Argentina, which puts trees in the ground to help offset the impact of its business and reduce climate change. Christodoulou is actively involved in Ombú, a project that brings together a group of young people aged 17-25 to work together to create solutions to problems around sustainability.
