Janet Fagan specializes in Life and Career Transition coaching. A certified coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation, she also has demonstrated accomplishments in the areas of Executive Coaching, Team Development and Psychological Assessments for Recruitment and Hiring.
Janet has consulted with city government as well as non -profits in areas of Leadership Management and Team Development. In addition to her development of career center and coaching projects with organizations such as Kodak, Gillette, Ciba-Geigy and the New Jersey Department of Labor , Janet served as Career Center Director for a Right Management Consultants, working on several large corporate projects, including CIGNA/ACE-Philadelphia. As a Senior Account Executive with Caliper Human Strategies, she utilized personality assessments to consult with companies in recruiting and hiring the best talent for the job. She provided interview expertise as consultant to InterviewNow.com in designing online questions/competencies, as a hiring/screening tool, for Fortune 500 companies.
Janet collaborated as member of special task force, charged with creating “Career Center in a Box”, a prototype of manual used by centers nationwide. She has led workshops in career development/transition, team development and managing change for Bell Atlantic and Manchester Partners, Drake Beam Morin and Right Management. She has also taught career skills and life planning courses at Yavapai College, Arizona. As an Affiliate Consultant/E-delivery with several career transition firms, she has done extensive one-on-one coaching and job search consulting with clients representing both the corporate sector, as well as government (N.J. Department of Higher Education, N.J. Department of Labor), including the United States Military(SEACA Program for Military Spouses-Impact Group).
Janet was a virtual career coach for Impact Group/St. Louis and currently is a Senior Transition Coach for RiseSmart, San Jose, CA where she collaborates with top level executives, as they transition in their careers. In addition to completing certification requirements for Job & Career Transition Coach (Knowdell), she is a graduate of Monmouth University’s B.A. and M.Ed. programs and the Coach for Life accredited program. Professional affiliations include: International Coach Federation, Career Planning & Adult Development Network, Career Thought Leaders Network and Career Directors International.
