Shane Forrest aka The Shakin’ Jamaican who is a professional musician and JUNO nominated producer from Kingston Jamaica who is now based in Toronto, Canada joins the eMusician Podcast Show. Shane is a multi-instrumentalist and plays bass & guitar in Toronto’s longest running ska band, The Arsenals and the lead guitarist for Kidd Rasta and The Peacemakers.

Shane ‘Shaky J’ Forrest aka the Shakin’ Jamaican is one of the most multi talented musicians of today. Hailing from Kingston Jamaica he was known as a very dedicated musician and began playing and recording professionally as a teenager. Shane was one of the first people to start a rock n’ roll band in Jamaica; a scene that is still thriving today; thanks to his innovative ideas.

Shane has toured the Caribbean and North America as a much sought after bassist and guitarist and performed at some of the biggest music festivals in Europe. Shane is also an accomplished audio engineer and producer and his production of Lyndon John X’s sophomore album ‘Brighter Days’ was nominated for the 2011 JUNO for ‘Reggae Recording of the Year.’

Currently Shane runs his own studio recording and producing independent artists in Canada and is working on a solo album to be released in early 2012 through King Culture Records.
