Ken Kam the CEO and founder of Marketocracy Inc., as well as Portfolio Manager at Marketocracy Capital Management LLC joins Enterprise Radio giving suggestions for an aggressive investor and more.

Marketocracry has launched one of its two models on Covestor, making it available to retail investors thru Covestor.com.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Ken Kam discuss the following:

  • You left Firsthand Funds at the peak. Just a short time later, the tech bubble crashed. Did you see the end coming? Is that why you left?
  • Most portfolio managers in your situation would have gone to the top business schools and hired the best. Why didn’t you do that?
  • How does Marketocracy decide who to hire?
  • Which manager would you suggest for an aggressive investor?
  • What would you suggest for a conservative investor?

Duration: 12:29

Ken Kam comanaged the top performing mutual fund in the country for the last 5 years of the 90s. During his tenure running the Firsthand Technology Value Fund, his fund delivered an average annual return of 56% a year. Ken left Firsthand at the end of 1999  because the stocks that had grown 56% a year for 5 years were already fully valued so he started Marketocracy to find skilled managers who could identify stocks with similar potential in other industries. After searching the world for more than 10 years, he’s identified an investment dream team.
