MEET MYA
Mya James was a Silicon Valley business administrator long before she became a baker. A former project manager at Cisco Systems, the 33-year-old worked in the tech world for fifteen years and satisfied her creative cravings by teaching herself how to bake on the side. What started out as a tasty hobby became her sweetest endeavor as Mya took on various baking jobs while perfecting her homemade cupcakes. A year ago, she opened the doors to Petite My Sweets.

SWEET BEGINNINGS
Mya grew up in San Jose, California, and spent endless hours in the kitchen watching her grandmother bake. Her mother—also a tech professional who built her daughter’s first computer—was a part-time caterer. Today, Mya continues the delicious family tradition by creating bite-sized desserts. Her Petite My Sweets cupcakes are all made from scratch with wholesome organic ingredients. Keeping unique tastes in mind, Mya makes her cakes, fillings, and frosting in a wide variety of flavors. Her personal favorite? Cinnamon chocolate cupcake with cream cheese filling, topped with chocolate ganache and vanilla buttercream. And she goes beyond cupcakes. Petite My Sweets also makes cookies, cake pops, candy bars, macaroons, chocolate covered marshmallows, chocolate covered pretzels, gourmet rice crispy treats, and even cream filled cakes.

WHAT’S NEW
Next up for Mya and Petite My Sweets is a revolutionary new app that’s scheduled to release on November 15. It’s an interactive experience and the first of its kind. Imagine a bakery for the Jetsons: Users choose ingredients to build their dream cupcake and watch it designed on screen. Then, they can order their digital creation for home delivery and savor it for themselves, or send it to someone else as a yummy gift. Mya will transfer cupcakes from glowing screens to growling stomachs with this futuristic app.

THE FAMILY RECIPE
Mya lives in Marietta, Georgia, with her husband and is raising four boys. When she’s not baking, she enjoys bargain hunting at garage sales and hanging out with the kids, who all devour her Petite My Sweets confections. Visit petitemysweets.com to learn more about Mya’s bites of wonderfulness!
