Te Wu, CEO of PMO Advisory, a management consulting and training company joins Enterprise Radio to discuss MBA vs. PMP and other Project Management Certifications.
With the Great Recession of 2007, the sense of vulnerability in the workforce continues to dominate. - So let’s get started started with an example: Let’s say that I am college graduate with a few solid years of experience and I am looking to advance my career. I’ve been thinking about getting an MBA but recently someone sent me a recent salary survey by Project Management Institute that showed project professionals with Project Management Professional or PMP earn 22% more than non-credential holders. Can you speak to me about the cost differences and return on investment?
- You mentioned time. Can you tell more?
- As a business school professor, CEO of a project management consulting and training company, and a working practitioner whom I believe has recently won an award for success project delivery, you have strong credibility in all these arenas. Which do you recommend: MBA or other graduate degrees or a project management certifications such as a PMP?
- Tell me more about the project award that your team has recently won?
- Now PMO Advisory is also a training company. Tell me more about the “training that you preach”.
Te Wu is the CEO of PMO Advisory, a consulting and a PMI Global Registered Education Provider. It is also one of the very few companies offering portfolio (PfMP), program (PgMP), project (PMP/CAPM), risk (PMI-RMP), agile (PMI-ACP), organization leadership & change management, and PMO training. He is also a professor at multiple universities across the Metro New York area including being an Assistant Professor at Montclair State University.
