Chuck Gordon is Co-founder and CEO of SpareFoot. Gordon holds a fine arts degree from UCLA, with a specialty in ceramic sculpture; he co-founded SpareFoot from his college dorm room. Since its launch in 2008, SpareFoot has become the country’s largest online marketplace for self-storage units. The company pioneered online comparison shopping for storage consumers and the pay-per-rental model for storage facilities. SpareFoot, based in Austin, Texas, has secured $26 million in venture capital. As of June 2014, the company employed nearly 160 people.
