It all started in the garage of the Patel family. After spending years in the plastic industry, Veejay Patel wanted to do something innovative and environmentally friendly instead of continuously contributing to the plastic crisis that plagues our natural world. He utilized his time and valuable resources to come up with a material that would serve similarly to other plastics on the market, but would have a positive effect on the environment, rather than a negative one.
Once he found the right formula, Veejay consulted with his family on what they could possibly make first. Enter Rudy Patel. With 6 years behind him as a sales associate at a local pet store, he knew exactly what our environment needed, less plastic pet waste bags!
With the help of the whole family, bioDOGradable Bags was founded in 2016 with Veejay as the director of operations, his wife, Binita Patel, as head of finance, and his two sons, Rudy Patel and Achyut Patel, handling anything and everything else.Since those initial days as a startup with ideas flowing and bags flying, our team has produced and sold millions of certified compostable bags. These technologically advanced bags break down much faster than a traditional plastic bag, while additionally adding replenishment to the degraded soil we find in so many ecosystems across the world.
Beyond GREEN, LLC was founded at the end of 2018 to further our production capabilities and create focus on our goal to be one of the most sustainable companies on the market. With hopes to enter different markets and industries other than the pet space, we have been investing in new equipment and processes, as well as building our workforce to include professionals with varying experiences. We are now ready to take this plastic crisis into our team’s hands and eliminate all single-use plastics with the help of YOU!
