Rooney originally from Ireland, Rooney ditched his first engineering job four years after moving to Japan. He took a job as a sales engineer in Japan and built a business from scratch on behalf of a European electronics company and doubled sales every year for 4 years. He moved back to Europe with that company, earned an MBA and eventually worked his way up to becoming a CEO of their Americas business, which covered North and South America. Within months of taking the position the dot-com bubble burst. He spent the next 3 years figuring out how to turn-around the 4 businesses that he was leading.
Rooney developed a concept that helped him turn his business around and made him determined to help other small business owners who were struggling as he did. Rooney has been a business coach for the past 11 years and is the CEO and founder of Success Pathfinder.
