Paul Oman is a Principal at BOI Consulting and for the past 11 years has advised clients in various capacities across several industries adding insight and helping clients address difficult business issues and improve operational results.

Prior to starting BOI Consulting Mr. Oman served as a director in FTI’s Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) group based in Houston, providing financial due diligence and consulting services to clients in telecommunications, manufacturing, biotech, health care, energy, logistics, real estate, automotive, banking and financial and software industries. The depth of his expertise includes buy-side and sell-side transaction work, new venture financial modeling and turn around acquisitions as well as cross border transactions in locations such as France, Spain, Mexico and the UK. Mr. Oman has served corporate and private equity clients on over 65 transactions ranging from one million to several billion in deal value. Representative M&A clients have included BP, Lucite international, Builders 1st Source, Banc of America Capital Investors, KRG Capital, HIG Capital, Cerberus, Symphony Technology Group, Pacific Energy, CSFB, Main Street Capital, Lime Rock, Wachovia, Novant Health Inc, Thoma Cressy (“Thoma”), and Brazos Private Equity Group.

Mr. Oman also spent over 3 years with Ernst & Young and held various positions in both the Transaction Advisory Services and Assurance Advisory and Business Services groups providing diligence services, valuation services, Sarbanes Oxley reviews and implementation, financial statement audits as well as completing statutory and lending audits for various clients both public and private. Mr. Oman’s audit experience includes manufacturing, financial services, technology, healthcare and service industries. Clients included Keane Inc., Textron, Raytheon, Quaker Fabric and Vanguard Solutions.

Mr. Oman also spent a year working for a small private equity venture in Massachusetts, Ambulatory Surgery Centers of America, performing financial due diligence, financial modeling, coordinating legal document preparation and recruiting investor groups for new ventures and turnaround acquisitions of outpatient surgery centers.

Mr. Oman holds a B.S. in finance from Brigham Young University and a Masters in Accounting from the University of Virginia. Mr. Oman is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Massachusetts and in the state of Texas. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and also a member of the AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services Section.
