Laurie Kaye Davis has over twenty-five years of successful business management experience in a broad spectrum of industries as well as extensive leadership participation in civic and community organizations.

Some of her professional career highlights include managing a mentor program for a non-profit with a budget over seven million dollars, a ninety office executive suite business, a leasing program for multi-million dollar mall renovation, and a retail department in United State’s largest sale per square foot mall.

Laurie Davis has focused her time most recently in the education arena where she created a peer mentoring program in the high school for incoming freshmen by upperclassmen, served on the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) in several board positions including Volunteer Chair, President Elect and her current position as President of the PTSA where she oversees a board of thirty and their biggest fundraiser which generates over $120,000 to fund teacher grants for much needed supplies and materials for the classrooms, clubs and sports teams in the school.

In addition, Davis also serves as the Church Chair of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Miami Beach, the Vice President of the Alton Road Homeowners Association, and holds board positions on the City of Miami Beach’s Community Relations Board and the St. John’s Montessori Academy.   Previous volunteer work includes work with Guardian Ad Litem, Children’s Home Society, The Daily Bread Food Bank, The New World Symphony, Miami Children’s Hospital with the Hugs & Kisses Committee, and Mt. Sinai Hospital with the Cancer Lifeline Board.

Mrs. Davis grew up in Michigan, but moved to Miami in 1980 after receiving her degree from the University of Florida in the School of Business. She has resided in Miami Beach since 1992 and wouldn’t consider living elsewhere.   She is married to Boies Schiller & Flexner lawyer, Steve Davis.  She is the mother of high school senior and IB Diploma student, Catherine Davis and the stepmother of Diane and Michelle.
