Jim Wilson is a business attorney, helping people start, finance, buy, sell and operate their businesses.  He has worked in large firms, small firms and in his solo practice.  His focus is helping his clients understand how the law impacts their businesses so they can develop methods of operating where they are in control and find few surprises.  A major aspect of his practice has been working with clients who are acquiring franchises.

Jim is a graduate of the US Naval Academy (1980) and the University of Richmond School of Law (1992).  He served 20 years in the Navy and Naval Reserves primarily flying the EA-6B, including deployments in support of the US airstrikes in Libya (1986) and NATO operations over Bosnia (1997).   As a veteran, Mr. Wilson has made presentations to veterans in Virginia on the topics of starting and financing a business for the Richmond office of the Small Business Administration and for several Congressmen over the years.  He is currently Chair of the Henrico County Business Council of the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Board of Governors of the Antitrust, Franchise & Trade Section of the Virginia State Bar.
