Mark Tattersall’s insurance industry expertise spans 45 years in the business. He began his career in the life and health space, later transitioned into property and casualty, and ultimately returned to his life insurance roots with the formation of BackNine in 2008. But this time, his perspective shifted; thanks to his two sons Brett and Reid who identified a major market gap in the wholesale life insurance space. So, the Tattersalls pivoted to focus on the untapped potential in that sector and are now the forces behind the life insurance CRM platform, BOSS, and the newly-released insurtech platform Quote & Apply, an intuitive e-application software with 24/7 policy quoting and selling capabilities. These platforms are intended to optimize sales for anyone selling life insurance–agents, financial advisers, wealth managers, mortgage brokers, and beyond–and ultimately help to make what was once a cumbersome process of life insurance sales into one that is highly efficient and attainable. Mark has now partnered with agencies, independent agents, and enterprise customers such as Redtail to help bring life insurance sales to the masses. He is based in Westlake Village, California, where he lives with his wife and is surrounded by family.
