Jessica Eaves Mathews gives you advice on how to make sure there are no legal issues lurking around your logo. She shares an experience that she had with a logo creation she had hired by a company that was stolen and used for their gain.
TIP: Whenever you hire someone to create an graphic design such as a logo image or piece of artwork, make sure you have a contract with that designer and make sure you have in the agreement a provision that specifically says that it must be an original piece of artwork and not clip art and it cannot be derivative of someone else’s work.
