How to be a Successful Millennial

Millennials or Generation Y as they’re sometimes known fall into the 20-35 age bracket. Today they are the power houses behind modern innovations. If you’re a budding millennial entrepreneur, start-up owner or even an avid gamer here are our top tips for success.

Be a Zuckerberg

In a Facebook world be a Zuckerberg. Specifically, Mark Zuckerberg the millennial creator of Facebook. Although Mark Zuckerberg attended Harvard, one of the most prestigious universities he didn’t actually graduate. Throwing in the towel at just 19 years old Zuckerberg went on to create Facebook in 2004. Envisioned as a way for fellow students to put names to the faces of their peers, Facebook has come a long way. Now one of the most powerful social media tools generating around $1.4 million dollars in revenue each year. Almost everyone has a Facebook account with an estimated 20,000 of us logging on each second. Those of us gifted with maths can work out that amounts to 6,000,000 in just 5 minutes. Talk about a phenomenon.

Not content with that Facebook has gone on to acquire other huge social media and communication companies. These have included the buying and merging of Whatsapp, Instagram and Messenger. Facebook have even moved into the rapidly emerging area of virtual reality or (vr). Fun fact when Facebook acquired virtual reality company Oculus VR in 2014 the tech industry gave a collective grunt. Back then virtual reality was more a virtual dream than virtual reality. Jokes on anyone who doubted Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook. Virtual Reality headsets are flying off the shelves faster than drones or Hatchimals. The success of virtual reality even has game developers scrambling to create “smash hit” vr games. All of this success has left dropout Mark Zuckerberg with a net worth of $75.2 billion dollars. Allowing him to dedicate his to philanthropy. Not bad for a 33-year old. So in a world of fakes, copies and clones stand out, create and be a Zuckerberg!

Or

Stream away

Millennials are the generation who have seen the most growth in technology. From the original brick like Gameboy to Nintendo Wii and to virtual reality. Many millennials have grown up playing on at least one games console. Once thought of as just another pastime, today dedicated gamers can earn cold hard cash. How do you ask? Via streaming services like Twitch and YouTube. One areas of gaming that has shown life changing earnings is casino streaming. What is casino streaming? For all the non-gamers casino streaming is the same as walkthrough videos. One player who has experience in a specific game will video themselves live as they play. This really took off with the expansion of YouTube. In a nutshell to quote Canadian online casino review site Casinos.co “Casino streaming allows experienced players who’ve spent hours playing slot games to share their knowledge with other passionate players.”

Casino streaming really draws on the human desire to be entertained. The 3 ways casino streaming entertains us are by human interaction, suspense and huge sums of money. Those of you who have seen a WSOP tournament will know that it is full of tension. Also top prizes of over $10 million dollars also help draw in plenty of live stream viewers. Of course not all players win or take a loss like a good sport. Watching players crash out or flop is also great entertainment. Besides their winning’s casino streamers are often sponsored by casinos or external brands. Making streaming a profitable one man show as long as you’re not camera shy. Just ask @Rocknrolla who is estimated to make around $250- $3800 a month from his Youtube channel. Again do the math…

So if you’re one of those kids who were told by your teachers or parents you can’t make money by playing games. You can laugh it up as you watch the cash roll in from casino streaming.

Not everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur or even a streamer. What these two different paths demonstrate is everyone’s ability to effect change in their lives and maybe even the world.
