Danna Pfahl is the VP of Stakeholder Engagement, supporting the development of strategic stakeholder relationships and core programmatic work at Future 500. Danna has a background in environmental policy and coalition building, working with Oxfam America, Global Exchange, Amnesty International and a handful of SF based political consulting firms on environmental and social issues. After working at the grassroots level, Danna wanted to explore ways to work within corporations in order to understand the hurdles and areas of potential alignment with the environmental community. She currently works directly with some of the largest utilities and consumer brands in the country to advance market based approaches to environmental problems.
Before joining Future 500, Danna was a grassroots organizer and campaigner. By helping establish an SF-based grassroots network for Oxfam America, she spearheaded campaigns to pressure policy makers on the 2007 Farm Bill, Waxman-Markey climate bill and fair trade policies. At Amnesty International France, she supported a human rights campaign to free political prisoners. In 2009, she helped build grassroots support to protect one of the last remaining undeveloped headlands in the San Francisco Bay Area. Danna has a background in grassroots organizing and coalition building, always gravitating towards work in the non-profit sector. Her work with Oxfam America, Global Exchange, Amnesty International and other SF based coalitions has only further deepened her passion and desire to work on environmental and social issues.
Her experiences at Future 500 have allowed her to engage directly with some of the largest US companies across a wide range of sectors. By building relationships at the corporate level, Danna is working to advance market based approaches to environmental problems.
