If you have ever rented or leased an apartment or home, then you know how important the end of lease cleaning really is.  This can be the different between getting your entire deposit back or only a fraction of it.  So how are you supposed to get rid of all the patches of mold and giant dust clouds without making it seem that you caused them?

Here are the best tips that you can adhere to in order to get the most money back from your lease or rental without going overboard.

If you are overwhelmed by the process and getting the work done, you should check out Like Cleaning, and you will still be ahead of the game in terms of money in your pocket when it is all said and done.

Always Make Sure You Plan Ahead

Do you remember when you were in college and you would cram the night before the test in class?  The same goes for trying to clean your entire apartment the day before you are planning to move out.  It just doesn’t make any sense at all.  Remember that you have lived in this place for 6, 12 or even more months.  There is a good chance that it has gotten dirty in that time.  So, if it has taken 12 months to get as dirty as it is, why do you think that you can spend 30 minutes and it will be just like new?

So, when you know that you are moving out, there is probably going to be some days before you actually need to move out.  With that being said, take 10-20 minutes to clean some of your space so that you will not get dinged when management does their final inspections.

Go Room to Room

If you are staying in an apartment that you don’t necessarily own, it may be a good idea that you always keep every room clean.  While it makes no sense to clean every room every day, when you spend some time and clean the rooms so that they will be approved with management, it is al good.

The best thing that you can do is to spend a little bit of time every day and clean the entire place bit by bit.  For instance, you can start at the back of the house and then mover forwards towards the front of the house.  When you follow this method, you can be more than sure that you have cleaned every room in the lease.

Always Be Thorough

While you can clean the walls and floors, you are going to need to do a whole bunch more as well.  Be sure that you pay a little bit of extra attention to all of the kitchen appliances, as well as the other regular cleaning stuff.

When you are trying to get everything ready for your end of lease cleaning, be sure that you take extra precaution to make sure that you clean everything.  There are some many cases of people who think they have a clean apartment, but they simply don’t.  If you are unsure of what you need to do, simply ask the front office staff so that they are able to help you figure it all out.
