Guruprasad Singh, MA, CMHC grew up in metropolitan Chicago, but since 1992 has been based in Utah, working as a psychotherapist and educator.  He was educated in Boston, Massachusetts at Brandeis University and Lesley University, and lived and studied for a time at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel. Guruprasad has a BA in English and American Literature and an MA in Counseling Psychology.  He is also a certified practitioner, teacher, and a teacher trainer of Kundalini Yoga, a practical and results oriented yogic technology that works intensively with the central nervous and glandular systems.

As a yogi and a psychotherapist, Guruprasad combines Western psychology with mindfulness and process-oriented approaches and has designed and taught classes and workshops across the country for almost 30 years.  He specializes in the treatment of addiction, trauma, men’s issues, relationship problems, and mood and anxiety disorders.  Guruprasad Singh received his name from his spiritual teacher in 1995.  It means “the Lion who delivers the gift of self-knowing and understanding”.  To make things easier he encourages others to call him by his initials, GPS: “Just think of me as your own personal guidance system!”
