  • Tell us how your career began, what has been your most rewarding professional experience so far?
  • Describe your investment platform, how does it work?
  • What was your mission from the onset?

  • What differentiates you from other real estate crowdfunding companies?
  • What is the typical range of investment amounts you receive and is there a minimum investment level?
  • What advice would you give someone looking to get started in investing via crowdfunding?

As CEO & Founder of DiversyFund, Craig Cecilio oversees business growth, strategic partnerships and property development. Cecilio has worked in the real estate industry for nearly 20 years. Over the course of his career, Cecilio has participated in the development of over 1,000 single family residences in California as either a joint venture equity partner, lender or sponsor. Since 1997, Cecilio has financed nearly $1 billion of real estate assets.

Cecilio founded DiversyFund in 2014 after the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act made crowdfunding a reality. Coupled with strong connections from his years of real estate work and an entrepreneurial mindset, Cecilio set out to disrupt traditional real estate financing and make investing in real estate as easy as buying a stock or bond. DiversyFund is a California-licensed real estate lending business for residential renovations and ground-up construction (residential and multi-family) in California coastal markets such as San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles and San Francisco. The company’s crowdfunding platform allows everyday investors to invest in institutional-quality real estate, an opportunity once never thought possible. DiversyFund now boasts over 30,000 subscribers and has invested over $100 million into residential and commercial properties, all with zero principal loss to investors.

When he isn’t in the office, checking in on properties or planning the future of DiversyFund, Craig spends time with his family and enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle with Crossfit and long runs on the beach.
