Miranda Evans is the Deputy Director of the Community and Economic Development Department for the City of Riverside, where she leads the City’s efforts in economic development and real property services. Miranda brings over a decade of experience in local government to the role with a professional background in city planning, administration and economic development.

Before joining the City of Riverside, she advanced Chula Vista’s economic profile, earning multiple national and international awards for her work. Evans holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University (SDSU), a master’s degree in Political Psychology from Arizona State University, a graduate certificate in City Management from Villanova University, a professional certificate in Leading Smart Communities from Pepperdine University, a certificate in Economic Development from California State University, Fresno and a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and City Planning from SDSU. She has been recognized as one of SDSU’s 25 Emerging Leaders and was named one of 10 Rising Aztec Alumni.
