Datebox strives to make date night simple because we believe relationships matter. At our core, our mission is to bring couples closer together by helping them rediscover date night. Each month we create a fun, exciting, and unique date experience for couples, and send them everything they need to enjoy that date together. We all know life can get busy and complicated, and it’s difficult to find quality time with the person we love most. Many relationships and marriages become distant over time, and even experience failure when they don’t make a priority out of continuing to connect with one another. Datebox founders Brett & Devon Kolomyjec were married 4 years ago. On the day of our wedding, we got many amazing presents, but one gift stood out above them all. Inside a little box that had been wrapped up for us, were items to spend a fun date night together. The box included a game, brownie mix, movie tickets, and some other various items. Along with these items was a note that read:
“The next few weeks will feel crazy as you go on your honeymoon, head back to work, get settled into your home, and learn how to begin your new lives together. It’s easy for life to get busy and hectic. Just 2.5 years into marriage, Brett and Devon realized that the couple who had given them this gift was right. Life does get busy, and complicated. We knew dating consistently and spending quality time together was important for our marriage, but planning fun dates can be difficult. We believed other couples may be dealing with the same challenges, and that there should be a company or product that helps couples take back date night, and Datebox was born.
