- What is SLICE?
- How did you come up with the idea for the company?

As the founder and chief executive officer, TJ Scimone is responsible for Slice’s day-to-day operations, as well as leading the company’s product development efforts. He founded Slice in 2008 as a way to help fund long-term care for his son, Alex, who is autistic, and donates a minimum of 1% of all Slice product sales to help fund autism research. Prior to Slice, TJ founded Private Label, an industry leader in promotional marketing, negotiating the company’s partnership with Mars M&M and Jelly Belly Candy Company, and later spinning off the successful web-based customization portal MyJellyBelly.com. A lifelong entrepreneur, TJ founded his first company at the age of 14 to create software for personal computers.
