Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Dan Brdar discuss the following:

  1. Tell us about Ideal Power and a bit about yourself.
  2. Ideal Power’s B-TRAN technology has been recognized for its potential to revolutionize electric vehicles by enabling greater efficiency and reducing reliance on high-cost materials. Could you explain how B-TRAN works and its advantages over traditional semiconductors in EV applications? What’s the biggest market for this? What other markets are using or are interested in this technology?
  3. We read that Stellantis (stell-antis), a top 10 global automaker, recognized Ideal Power and its program with Stellantis as a finalist in the 2023 Stellantis Venture Awards. How does Ideal Power’s B-TRAN technology align with the vision of these awards, and what impact do you foresee this technology having on Stellantis’s approach to electric vehicle development and the broader automotive ecosystem?”
  4. B-TRAN’s unique bidirectional current flow capability sets it apart from traditional semiconductors. How do you believe this technical differentiation contributed to Ideal Power’s recognition by Stellantis, and what are the key technical hurdles that were overcome to achieve this innovation?”
  5. Your collaboration with Stellantis has entered Phase II, focusing on developing a custom B-TRAN power module for EV drivetrain inverters. What have been the key milestones of this partnership so far, and what future advancements can we expect from this collaboration?
