Over the course of his career, DeMeritt has worked in several financial management capacities. He started his international banking career at the WFI Corporation. Building upon this experience and analysis of potential market crashes and the safety of gold commodities as investments, in 1997 he founded Lear Capital. Since its founding, Lear Capital has grown to be one of the nation’s largest precious metals companies. Reflecting DeMeritt’s determination to drive industry-wide innovation in hard assets, Lear Capital has built a reputation for building consumer knowledge of gold and silver investment opportunities.
With an already nationally recognized and successful company under his belt, DeMeritt sought to continue to expand his impact in the hard-asset space. In 2008, he co-founded Wilshire Finance Partners, a real estate investment fund delivering capital solutions to borrowers and fixed-income alternative investments for investors. This expansion further represents his commitment to driving change and creating value for clients wherever they are in their journey to build wealth.
DeMeritt holds a Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in business and economics from the University of Montana. His interests have spanned market development, the economy, and understanding how geo-political events influence financial cycles. Additionally, he has developed insights into the state of strategic leadership, people management, and productivity.
