Intrinsic Power Brings Distributed Energy Systems Together

In the rise of distributed energy systems, leading companies have introduced standalone systems for solar, local energy storage, and vehicle charging, even though these systems are addressing a single problem of energy availability.  This fundamental misunderstanding has led to systems that are not integrated to maximize energy efficiency or to optimize for customer needs.

Intrinsic Power is addressing this industry shortcoming with its smarter energy management systems. The company’s initial focus is on home EV charging.

Intrinsic’s smarter EV charging stations evaluate user schedule, inferred charging needs, vehicle parameters, home sensors, and utility rates. Intrinsic systems utilize proprietary software, running on an AWS backend to provide industry leading energy management.

The Intrinsic Power fully integrated ReNu100 incorporates solar, energy storage, and residential DC fast charge, enabling energy distribution decisions to be coordinated in real-time. The system eliminates multiple sub-systems in a home solar/battery integrated installation, cutting installation costs by $15K, while enabling bi-directional DC fast charge and lower energy costs.

Co-founded by EV technology veteran, Broc TenHouten, Intrinsic Power’s vision is to disrupt and optimize the fragmented solar, energy storage, and charging industries. With Intrinsic Power, customers reduce installation costs and improve total energy efficiency.

Broc TenHouten is a leading authority on the distributed energy problem. He can address how Intrinsic’s innovation has positioned the company to become the leader in distributed energy management–and one to watch.
