In 2008, Dhawal met Parag while visiting a common friend, who is a bespoke tailor in Saville Row. We were immediately impressed with the quality, craftsmanship and fit of the shirts and suits we saw there.

Off-the-rack clothes lack quality, details, have various fit issues like boxy look, come in standardized sizes and focus on a profit-over-people approach; designer clothes have better quality but come slapped with an expensive price tag, and made-to-measure clothes add the inconvenience of the 4-6 week waiting time.  With Parag passionate about fashion since childhood as he watched his mother designing, manufacturing and exporting shirts internationally, and the other a technology geek, we quickly saw an opportunity. This was our ‘aha’ moment to create Hucklebury.

Dhawal Shah got his first taste of programming at 8 with QBasic. Since then, he has been playing with computers, robotics and web development. Dhawal fell into entrepreneurship when he was 18 and led his team to create the ‘Push-up Pal’ for a class – a product that was later featured in The New Paper (Singapore). He worked at Qik in 2008 – where he did web development – and was their 5th employee. Qik was later acquired by Skype. His passion for programming and entrepreneurship led him to the opportunity to co-found Hucklebury. He is responsible for all things on the web.

Dhawal is tech enthusiast. He likes reading, challenging himself and finding ways to ease the life of people with technology.

Hucklebury.com is a vertically-integrated online retailer selling better fitting men’s shirts using 100% Egyptian Cotton from the finest mills in Italy.

The founders started designing clothes with three distinct priorities: great fit, finest quality and Zappos-esque customer service.

The  shirts are manufactured side-by-side with designer brands like Armani, Zegna, Calvin Klein and Kenneth Cole, yet are much more affordable !

Hucklebury changed all that, now everyone can have finely tailored shirts!
