Manuel E. Iglesias founded Hygea in 2007 and brings extensive legal, business and political experience to the company as well as background in business development and venture capital. As president and CEO, Iglesias is focused on expanding the company’s reach geographically as well as expanding and integrating its portfolio of services.

Before joining HYGEA, Mr. Iglesias served as Director of the healthcare group at the law firm of Becker & Poliakoff and later was a member of the healthcare group at Ruden McClosky. He has an extensive background in financial services having specialized as an attorney in security and transactional law, was general counsel of a broker dealer, as well as having been president of a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) as well as a HUD co-insurance mortgage lender.

He graduated from the University of Chicago earning both, a Juris Doctor and a master in Business Administration. Previously, Mr. Iglesias earned a bachelor in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
