How to Speak When Producing Videos

How to Speak When Producing Videos

with Dr. Bill Lampton

Here are several tips from my own experience:

  • Let your message come not from a written script, but from an outline of major points.
  • Don’t use teleprompters. Rely on your notes occasionally.
  • Write your major points on a steno pad in large letters.
  • Scotch Tape your notes to a point on the tripod just underneath the camera.
  • When beginning your video, make sure you smile.
  • Speak faster than you normally would.
  • Gesture as you would in a normal conversation.
  • Keep a conversational tone.
  • Have somebody else watch your video production.
