Steven Chain first distinguished himself as a muckraking journalist at Ramparts magazine in San Francisco, worked with Warren Hinckle and Hunter Thompson at Scanlon’s, and for years covered US military activities related to the Vietnam War and the US-Japan Security Agreement. He eventually became a published author for university textbooks on psychology, and ghostwriting for Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald’s, and others under contract with the New York Publishing industry including Warner, Simon&Schuster, Bantam Books, and McGraw Hill. He eventually specialized into book packaging for various titles spanning health and nutrition to celebrity bios to financial planning. He has also contracted to provide material to the NY Times Syndicate, ABC’s Good Morning America, and numerous local and national news media outlets.
