Book Your Hotel in the Phrom Phong area of Bangkok

When you book your hotel in the Phrom Phong area of Bangkok, you’ll be right in the middle of the best area for shopping, restaurants and nightlife. For visitors who are visiting Bangkok for the first time, the Phrom Phong area of the city is one of the most exciting areas of the city.

The Phrom Phong area boasts two of the most upscale shopping malls in Bangkok. The Emporium and Emquartier are right across Sukhumvit Road from each other and together have one of the largest concentrations of brand-name shops in the city. Names you’ll find in other world-class cities like London, Paris and New York, are all here as well, right on Sukhumvit Road.

Explore Sukhumvit Road by BTS Skytrain

Sukhumvit Road itself runs through the heart of Bangkok’s shopping and entertainment areas and the BTS Skytrain is an elevated rapid transit system that runs along the road as well. The BTS Skytrain provides access to all the attractions and colourful areas of the city, by virtue of it being interconnected with two other rapid transit systems, the MRT and the Airport Express.

You can take the Airport Express from Suvarnabhumi Airport into town, transfer onto the BTS Skytrain and be at your hotel in Phrom Phong in no time at all, without having to brave Bangkok’s notorious traffic.

But the BTS Skytrain is also the most convenient way to explore all the shopping, eateries and entertainment options up and down Sukhumvit Road.

You’ll have convenient access to the BTS Skytrain at the Phrom Phong station near your hotel in Phrom Phong.

You’ll be able to quickly and comfortably access the Siam Square area, with its youth-oriented shops and entertainment attractions, as well as the nightlife of the Thonglor and Ekkamai neighbourhoods right next to Phrom Phong.

By transferring to the MRT one stop away from your hotel in Phrom Phong, you’ll also be able to see all the sights in the Silom and Sathorn areas of the city down near the Chao Phrya River.

See the Sights Along the River

For first time visitors to Bangkok, an inexpensive and convenient way to tour the river area of the city is to take the BTS Skytrain to the Saphan Taksin station and board a water taxi. The water taxis cruise up and down the river at regular intervals throughout the day, stopping at the numerous piers.

Visitors to Bangkok can buy an all-day ticket on the water taxis that allow you to hop on and off as you please. You can see the major historical sights and areas of the city, including the Temple of the Dawn, the Grand Palace and Bangkok’s Chinatown.

Once you’ve seen the sights for the day, take the BTS Skytrain back to your hotel in Phrom Phong. Wander among the many restaurants in the neighbourhood until you’ve found one that suits your fancy. It’s the perfect way to end a day of discovery in Bangkok.
