Fitpacking with Bree Gotsdiner
Entrepreneurial Fit Radio
Bree Gotsdiner, Director of Media Relations with FitPacking worked for the Forest Service as a Wildland firefighter and participated in multiple Outward Bound trips, and is aslo an experienced hiker and outdoor enthusiast. Formerly overweight, Bree found hiking to be the most effective method of weight loss, building and toning muscle, and decreasing stress. She spends most of her free time outdoors, hiking, cycling and playing soccer. Bree holds a Master’s in Social Work and Nonprofit Management, which supports her success at relating to the participants and working behind the scenes to help ensure successful trips. Bree is thrilled to part of the Fitpacking team helping others regain fitness.
Bree discusses with Eric:
1. What Fitpacking is all about.
2. Who would be the best individual to go on a Fitpacking Trip?
3. Some of the trip destinations with Fitpacking?
4. How did you become involved with Fitpacking?
5. Have you always been entrepreneurial?
Fitpacking provides a supportive environment in which slower hikers can feel comfortable and enjoy themselves. If you love the outdoors, but are a little overweight or older and prefer not to be rushed, Fitpacking could work for you.
Fitpacking is owned by Steve Silberberg, who is a SOLO certified Wilderness First Responder, Leave No Trace Trainer, and Certified Food Handler. He has a wide variety of backpacking experiences over many terrains and guides most Fitpacking trips.
