Filmmaker Elena Neuman on Resilience: “Looking Up” Documentary

Elena Neuman

Filmmaker Elena Neuman and her documentary feature “Looking Up,” which will premiere on October 9 at the Soho Film Festival in New York and will travel to the West Coast for the Newport Beach Film Festival and Southern California premiere on October 18 joins Enterprise Radio.

Listen to host Eric Dye & guest Elena Neuman discuss the following:

  1. Elena, you’ve witnessed incredible resilience both in Eitan’s climb and your own journey with thyroid cancer. What are some practical ways people can stay hopeful and motivated when they’re facing health setbacks, whether at work or in life?
  2. Balancing a serious health diagnosis with a demanding creative project isn’t easy. What small habits or routines helped you look after yourself while directing ‘Looking Up,’ and how might our listeners use these tips to care for themselves in busy, high-pressure roles?
  3. Stress tends to build quickly when we’re juggling health issues and career goals. Were there any daily practices—like mindfulness, movement, or community support—that made a noticeable difference for you? How can our audience apply these to their own routines?
  4. You captured Eitan setting big goals despite serious challenges, which mirrors what so many entrepreneurs and leaders face. From your perspective, what lessons from rock climbing and challenging health journeys can help people push past obstacles in business?
  5. Tell us more about the film and what do you hope audiences will take away?
