An attorney and entrepreneur, Kirsten Curry is the founder and President of Leading Retirement Solutions (LRS), a full-service retirement plan provider. Curry founded Leading Retirement Solutions with a commitment to three core principles: transparent and unbiased services; custom open architecture retirement plan solutions; and access to traditional and non-traditional investments.
In her early years, Curry plied the seas for over a decade working as a commercial fisherman in Alaska. As an independent commercial fisherman, she developed an entrepreneurial spirit at a very young age. A graduate of Gonzaga University and Seattle University School of Law, Curry is now authorized to practice law in the state of Washington. Prior to starting LRS, she co-founded Rains Group of Companies and served as President of Rains Plan Group, a Third Party Administrator. She also previously administered over 3,500 retirement plans and managed 60+ employees in multiple offices across the United States.
Curry‘s company offers consulting services, plan design, administration, recordkeeping, government reporting, and correction and compliance services to company-sponsored retirement plans. Her team custom designs retirement plan solutions for each company and works directly with business owners to provide access to the right investments and services for their organization. Curry has extensive experience in corporate and not for profit retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), 457, Church Plans, Defined Benefit Plans and more.
Active in her own community as well as the employee benefits community, Curry has served as the President and Board Member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) Benefits Council of the Great Northwest is an active member of Vistage and the Women Presidents Organization (WPO).
Curry is dedicated to supporting and promoting businesses, their owners, operators, employees and investors. She regularly speaks to small and large industry groups, on the various retirement plan and ERISA topics, including IRS audits and Dept. of Labor investigations.
