- You note that Manymoons is “America’s First Circular Retailer.” Can you explain what that means to both consumers and across the retail industry?
- I’ve read that “fast fashion” – clothes made very cheaply that can be produced quickly – are having a huge environmental impact. Can you tell us more about that?
- What are the differences between “circularity” and “sustainability” from a consumer/shopper’s perspective? Specifically. are consumers doing more for the environment if they support circularity in their shopping?
- I see that you are a chemical engineer. Did your technology background play a role in your decision to launch Manymoons?
Carolyn Butler currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Manymoons, a position they have held since June 2020. Prior to this role, they were the Chief Executive Officer at another company from January 2020 to November 2022.
Before their CEO positions, Carolyn worked as a New Business Venture Manager at Infineum from September 2015 to December 2019. Carolyn also gained experience as a Process Engineer at Syngenta from April 2012 to June 2015, and as a Process Engineer II at Lummus Technology from June 2007 to March 2012.
Carolyn began their professional journey as an Intern at Colgate Palmolive, where they worked from August 2003 to August 2005. Carolyn Butler earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2007. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University, studying from 2016 to 2018.
