Zankhna was born in India and spent the first 17 years of her life in Kenya. At 17, she moved to America for school.  She attained a master’s degree in physical therapy from University of Northern Florida in Jacksonville, FL. She had a very successful healthcare career for over ten years but ultimately decided to go back to her first love – fashion design.
Since she was 14, Zankhna has designed and made her own clothes, as well as designing outfits for special occasions for friends and family. She has a fierce passion for fashion and has been a part of reporting and blogging on various opening lines such as Ann Taylor, Hugo Boss and more. She has also written various articles about fashion’s dos and don’ts, as well as fashion must haves and current trends. She has also attended and helped plan numerous fashion shows both nationally and internationally.
In 2008-2010, she served as a Glambassador and a Style Council member for Glamour magazine.
In 2012, she resumed designing clothes commercially and hopes to have her first line out in 2013. Her designs have international flair and are influenced by her three different geographical backgrounds and upbringing. Given that she is deeply rooted in her culture, she has an eye for pure and raw fabrics that are very elegant and sophisticated with eye-catching designs and embroidery. She appreciates clean lines and minimalistic silhouettes.
Zankhna caters to on-the-go mothers who want to be effortlessly stylish and on trend. With her designer’s eye, she can help accentuate and flatter curves and hide problem areas that as moms, we all seem to have. Her clothes are fashion forward and socially conscious – she does not use animal products, and she makes ensures employees receive a fair wage.
