It seems like every celebrity has released a memoir.  What makes them so interesting?  Some of the most compelling stories come from unsung heroes.   For most of us attempting a memoir, knowing where to start can be difficult. There may be one pivotal moment that motivated us to work hard and succeed. Do we start our life story there?  Memoir writer Loren Stephens, president of Write Wisdom, Inc., delves through photos, letters, journals, hears stories, and interviews countless family members to help us reflect upon our lives and discover the lessons learned from our experiences. She serves as a personal archaeologist who digs up truths that her clients may not have realized. Are you ready? Visit writewisdom.com.

The process is meaningful.  Loren coaches clients through an outline of their life story until the story is developed, a manuscript is completed, and a book is published.  She has facilitated and written memoirs for philanthropists who have dedicated their lives to helping others; guided veterans who have returned from war changed forever; and assisted parents who want to leave a lasting legacy for their children and grandchildren.

“Fame is not what makes a great memoir,” says Ms. Stephens. “Everyone has a unique story to tell, but they may not know where to start or how to put it down on paper.”

Loren and her team of seasoned editors and journalists help clients decide at what point in their lives to begin the memoir – is it the first day of third grade, or the day they met their husband? –  and discover a common thread that has motivated them through the years.  At Write Wisdom, Inc., many clients discuss the incredible obstacles that have challenged them, whether physical or emotional. She helps them glean their accomplishments and eloquently prepare an autobiography in an authentic voice that will educate, entertain and even inspire others. It is a cathartic process that is life-changing, self-reflective, painful, and joyous all at once.

“All of our clients are heroes,” says Loren.  “We help them share themselves with the world.”
