- Who was the brainchild of Pivt and how did you guys come up with the idea?
- Explain to me how the app works?
- So this is not just for people moving, if I was going to London for work, I could just open the app and see people that I have something in common with and send them a message about grabbing a drink?
- What is the vision of Pivt? How can our listeners get Pivt and what advice do you have for people moving cities?
Lynn graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 2010 and shortly after moved to London to work for Bloomberg LP in Message Compliance and Financial Surveillance. While in London, Lynn faced many of the challenges and hardships that virtually all people experience when moving to a new and unfamiliar city – how to go about making friends. Lynn searched but could not find a resource that connected people one-on-one based on their existing network and commonalities, which is what she had hoped to find and use. With this as a backdrop, Lynn and her brother, Scott, started brewing what is now, Pivt.
Upon moving back to NY a few years later, Lynn joined Autonomy Ventures as an Associate, where she procured dealflow, managed teams, and drove value creation of portfolio companies. Lynn is also a frequent panelist and startup judge at various events, including FundingPost at SXSW. Lynn is also an advisor at Astia, a curated, global community of experts committed to the success of world class women-led, high-growth startups. Additionally, Lynn is the VP of Panels for New York Venture Community.
Lynn was recently awarded StrtupBoost’s NYC 33 Under 33 award for her efforts towards Pivt and social media.
Scott, Co-Founder at Pivt is a recent Finance and Entrepreneurship graduate at Syracuse University.
