Millennial Entrepreneur Leading Clean Eating Revolution

Laureen Asseo

Laureen Asseo from Nutrition Corp., a healthy meal delivery service, specializing in all-organic dishes without preservatives, additives, dairy, gluten, GMOs, hormones, added sugar or soy joins Entrepreneurial Fit Radio.

Listen to interview with host Eric Dye & guest Laureen Asseo discuss the following:

  • I understand you began your culinary career from your kitchen, how did that happen? How did it progress into selling millions of meals today?
  • When creating Nutrition Corp., what core values were you not willing to sacrifice?
  • We also understand that you have your own nonprofit, Feeding Friends. What does the organization do and how is philanthropy aligned with Nutrition Corp.’s mission?
  • We see this trend of more and more millennials wanting to become their own boss. Being a member of Generation Y yourself, what obstacles have you seen and what advice would you give your peers interested in the same path?
  • Where do you think the major shift into clean eating and transparent companies began? Why do you think people are becoming more conscious about what they consume?

Laureen Asseo, raised with her French heritage, began adapting to America’s mass-produced and artificially prepared meals. She and her family soon realized the limited access to affordable meals with nutrient-dense ingredients. The vision was a lofty one at first, but Laureen and her family began preparing hearty, organic and vegan meals for friends and family out of their kitchen. As any woman on a mission, Laureen’s commitment relied on delivering food in home Tupperware containers until orders went beyond their close circle. Demand grew so rapidly that Laureen saw the opportunity to redefine ‘a woman in the kitchen.’ Through creating a niche the market had never seen; Nutrition Corp. was born.
