A Twitter Bio that Draws like a MAGNET

If you have been wandering why you aren’t getting more followers on Twitter here is one area to consider: Your Twitter Bio! Since you only have 160 characters as a limit to display what you are about and what you do, there is a strategy behind the Twitter Bio. Take note, to not appear like a spammer you wouldn’t want to have a bio like this:

Sports, Social Media Expert, Blogger, Swimmer, Hiker, Radio DJ …this will make you look like a SPAMMER.

Form these questions when creating your Twitter Bio:

  1. Why you are using Twitter?
  2. What is your purpose?
  3. Who do you want to be found by… a company? by location? industry? career?
  4. Who do you want to connect with?
  5. What do you do?

As much as what you do is important, so is your location for search reasons. You also want to let your potential connection know what it is that you do and splash in your personality within the bio, to draw interest as well.

Here is a great example by one of our EPN host @TreyPennington:

Dad to 6; marketing pro, connector, storyteller. Author: Spitball Marketing

This information should leave you scrambling to tweek your Twitter Bio.

If you have any questions or comments feel free, we would love to hear from you. ~ @EricDye
